T&C Achieves Landmark Patent Invalidation Victory for YuGuang Technology
Beijing Caihe Law Firm has once again demonstrated its leading expertise in patent litigation and invalidation strategy. The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently issued Decision No. 588955, declaring invalid in its entirety Chinese Invention Patent No. 202010189838.5, titled “Imaging Spectroscopy Chip with Combined Spectral and Imaging Functions and its Preparation Method” (the “Patent at Issue”), owned by a Jilin-based technology company.
This outcome fully upheld the invalidation request filed by Beijing YuGuang Technology Co., Ltd. (“YuGuang”). Notably, the patentee had previously initiated infringement proceedings before the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court based on the Patent at Issue. With the patent now invalidated, YuGuang has petitioned the court to dismiss the infringement lawsuit in accordance with Chinese law.
As counsel to YuGuang in the invalidation proceedings, Caihe’s legal team combined deep technical insight with sophisticated litigation strategy to dismantle the opposing party’s patent claims. The case underscores Caihe’s proven ability to help clients neutralize litigation risks and remove barriers to market competition through decisive and effective intellectual property enforcement.
This success further reinforces Beijing Caihe Law Firm’s reputation as a trusted partner for both domestic and international clients facing complex IP disputes in China.
