Recently, Chongqing No.1 Intermediate People’s Court (Chongqing Intellectual Property Court) rendered Civil Judgments No. (2024) Yu 01 Min Chu 301 and No. (2024) Yu 01 Min Chu 302 respectively in the case of Beijing World Diamond Tools Co., Ltd. v. a Chongqing-based Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. involving utility model patent infringement and design patent infringement. The court held that the defendant had constituted infringement and shall bear legal liabilities to World Diamond Tools including ceasing the infringement and compensating for losses.
