Recently, the Chongqing Pilot Free Trade Zone People’s Court issued Civil Judgment (2021) Yu 0192 Min Chu No. 8062 in the case where Beijing ByteDance Network Technology Co., Ltd. and Chongqing ByteDance Technology Co., Ltd. sued Shenzhen Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd. for infringement of the right of communication of works through information networks. The court found that the defendant, Tencent Computer Systems Co., Ltd., had committed infringement and should bear liability for damages to the plaintiffs.
