Recently, the Chongqing Higher People's Court rendered the final civil judgments No. (2024) Yu Min Zhong 391 and No. (2024) Yu Min Zhong 401 respectively in two cases: the dispute over infringement of utility model patent right and the dispute over infringement of design patent right filed by Beijing World Diamond Tools Co., Ltd. against a Chongqing-based precision manufacturing company. The court ruled that the defendant, the Chongqing-based precision manufacturing company, had constituted infringement and should bear legal liabilities such as ceasing the infringement and compensating for losses to World Diamond Tools Co., Ltd.
